I have a deep affection for Sintra. I had visited the city several times as a tourist before moving to Portugal, and now that I live nearby, I’ve discovered even more reasons to love this incredible destination and the entire Serra de Sintra area. When I decided to move to Portugal with my family, we hadn’t yet discovered the Beloura area (Quinta da Beloura), which is part of the Sintra municipality. We loved the region so much that we chose it as our home. Quinta da Beloura is a gated community located between Cascais and Sintra (just a 10-minute drive to either), with several international schools nearby, and it sits right at the foot of the Serra de Sintra.
